About Forest Farmstay
Two apartments in the forest with a pool, a garden and quiet all around, half an hour from Ljubljana.
On the property
- Two apartments in separate buildings, each with its own kitchen, living room and fireplace
- An 8 x 4 m pool with a view of the hills, shared by the two apartments, open June to September and not heated
- A traditional wood-fired sauna, on request for a small surcharge
- A covered terrace and a charcoal grill for each apartment, and a garden for outdoor dining
- Our own natural spring drinking water, not chlorinated
- Free parking, bicycle parking and free WiFi
- Well-behaved pets welcome on request, up to two per apartment (fee applies)
All year round
In summer the days are for the pool and the garden. In winter the fireplaces are lit, the forest is quiet and, with snow, the whole valley turns white.
Getting here
About half an hour by car from Ljubljana (24 km) and about 5 km from Polhov Gradec; Ljubljana airport is 36 km away. The last 3 km is a gravel road with some steeper sections: a regular car manages it with care in normal weather, higher ground clearance helps, and in snow it can be tricky. Without a car, or in snow, we can pick you up in Polhov Gradec: please check with us before you arrive, as a fee may apply depending on the number of guests.

Bring your supplies
There is no shop or restaurant on the property. Polhov Gradec has grocery stores and other everyday services, so stock up on the way.
Around you
Forest Farmstay sits right below Tošč, the highest peak of the Polhov Gradec Hills, so hiking trails start at the door. Grmada and the cycling routes are close by, and Ljubljana is half an hour away for a day in town.
